I remember Mullen said that he was in favor of this. I've heard that it's an older rivalry than Miami-FSU and was one of the most heated games. It seems like it would be good for both programs getting national exposure as well.

They already have a permanent ooc opponent so no it will never be annual.

I don't see why they can't play a hell of a lot more frequently though

Georgia-Clemson is the other one I'd like to see more frequently, though I'm not old enough to remember its heyday or familiar with that region.

It is an old rivalry and has it's own trophy, but it's unlikely to ever be annual again. Just the occasional one-off series.

I don't think there's the same interest to renew as there once was, especially now that we've gone a different direction in OOC scheduling.

2030 - Texas, @FSU
2031 - @Texas, Arizona State, FSU

i would like to hear fla fans perspectives on the rivalries with fsu and miami. are they different? the same? what's it like going to each? lsu fans can't imagine what it's like to have a rivalry, much less 2.

Although we already have a permanent ooc game, we played them 8 times in tbe 80s and 4 in the 90s. Since then we generally play Clemson twice per decade. We already have another home And home lined up with them in addition to a kickoff classic game in the next few years.

Fun fact: we have a staggering 42-18 advantage in the all time series.

No, it's not going to be annual ever again, most likely, since conference play has expanded and we already have FSU as a permanent non-conference game

Rotating in a game against UM every three or so years is possible, though

Not Miami or UF related but I wanted to jump in just to remind everyone that LSU is gonna skull drag The Noles in the series coming up.

I can "tolerate" FSU fans for the most part.

Miami fans on the other hand...

From what I've been told, majority of UM fans are not from Florida. I've heard terms like the university of New Jersey coral gables.

How is Florida a dumpster fire? They have finished in the top 10 the last two years.
