CNN - Cancelled NCAAT cost NCAA $375M

NCAA.Com - Revised Financial Distribution

quote:

The NCAA announced on Thursday that there will be $225 million distributed to schools, rather than the budgeted $600 million in "response to the cancellation of all remaining winter and spring NCAA championships."

The NCAA said it receives "most of its revenue from the Division I Men’s Basketball Championship television and marketing rights, as well as championship ticket sales. The revenue is used to provide distributions to member conferences and schools along with funding championships, national programs and other initiatives to support student-athletes."

All they have to do is figure out a way to get a new NCAA football video game released by the fall and they make that and then some

Time to open up pay for play, and the NCAA taxes it

Test the kids and then let them play in empty arenas. Expand the field. Give people something to watch.

Good.

Let's turn the tourney TV rights over to the schools like we do for the CFB playoffs.

Get those jackals out of our pockets once and for all.

No problem. The NCAA will start finding all sorts of ticky tacky violations by teams they can be fined for.

Good. The NCAA is trash.
It's time to let the conferences negotiate and plan the offseason like we do for football.

Must be Fake News

Gotta be

After all, I've been repeatedly told that the Players are only worth Tuition, Room, and Board

No way can that much money be generated by guys that are only worth , Tuition-Room-Board, they're just a bunch of amateurs
