24/7 lockdown but has a lot of stipulations. Grocery store, pharmacy, etc still good.

Necessary to discourage students from hanging out in Athens and going to bars as normal. Sucks for the folks who work and rely on the bars to make ends meet. Lost in all the high risk populations are the fact that this is going to severely harm a lot of service industry folks the longer this goes on

So you can go out at 7pm and don’t have to home till 5am? That sounds pretty cool.

Well known that viruses don’t circulate after 7 pm. They like to turn in early.

Curfews will just cause more hysteria and larger crowds at grocery stores. And some people want the government to be in charge of literally everything... smh

It’s a curfew on social gatherings at bars and restaurants, not a curfew on going out in general to fulfill basic needs like groceries. Hell, it’s not even a curfew on church. Despite what the movies suggest, the national guard and police force in this country ain’t big enough to enforce an honest to god, stay-in-your-homes-dear-citizen curfew

I was told today it's not actually official. It's just a strong recommendation. Anyone got official link or anything?

Athens Twilight in the fall! Upside. Hopefully bring some money back on an away game weekend. By far the busiest night downtown.

I need to check with my nephew on how strict they are enforcing the lockdown in Athens. I know in Cobb County they just shut down all the parks. Lot of people were out enjoying the parks the last 2 weeks. They had already shut down Cobb tennis facilities so people were playing at the non-staffed courts. From experience with Cobb county I could see them writing citations for people playing tennis.

So, then, it's not really a 24/7 lockdown.

Yep. And Pelosi doesn't give a shite about them if she can't get her agenda passed. She wants to force emissions controls on airlines and suspension of the Hyde Amendment in exchange for helping the workers.
