Why has Alabama always been good at the expense of Auburn?

I've often asked myself this question and sometimes wished I was born a Bama fan instead of an Auburn fan. My parents kept telling me "Auburn will be good one day", but it never happened. So here I am, supporting the loser program in the state and I have an inferiority complex.

Auburn has always had a little brother complex. Alabama and Georgia have been their daddies so long they don’t know how to act. I mean they take pride in graduating seniors selling their trailers to incoming freshman like it’s a right of passage. I suggested changing their name to West Georgia College to try and remove the stigma.

I wouldn't worry about it, all programs have another program that they look up to. Auburn fans secretly wish they were Bama fans. Bama fans secretly wish they were Notre Dame fans. LSU fans secretly wish they were Auburn fans. UGA fans secretly wish they were Florida fans. Tennessee fans secretly wish they were Vandy fans.

Just sit back, relax, and enjoy watching Auburn destroy LSU's playoff dreams on Saturday, because after losing to us and losing to Bama, there is no way a two loss team gets in the playoffs.

Also, head up to east Tennessee for few days this month. The Weigel's convenience stores have declared October "corndog month" and you can get a corndog for 88 cents. Nothing beats a good cheap corndog.

Still going with the “I’m an Auburn fan” skit. It’s hilarious man.

Well since Alabama has more wins and more titles (even if you just count the ones won after WWII when the polls were standardized), why would any Alabama fan want to be Notre Dame fans?

That's a good point. That guy obviously was just trolling in a serious thread.

Why wouldn't a Bama fan want to be a Notre Dame fan? Even with the wins/bowls/championships, until the last 10 years no one outside the Bama fan base, or maybe the deep south, thought of Bama in any way shape or form on the Notre Dame level. Notre Dame has the legendary nicknames - "The Four Horsemen," "Touchdown Jesus."

When they made a movie about Notre Dame's legendary coach, they cast a future president as a supporting actor. When they made a movie about Bama's legendary coach, they cast Gary Busey as the lead. Gary Busey is the best they could get? Really?!?!?! Notre Dame even had a movie made about a player, a real life player at that. The only Alabama player I can think of that had a movie made him was Forrest Gump.

I was in full nodding agreement until we hit
that last line.
