It's past the time for ST Coach Hill to take that move to the cubby in the AD's admin corner near the janitor closet. Or fully retire. Bye and thanks.

I was absolutely shocked he was retained this year.

He can actually catch the ball. I don’t care if he has zero return yards. Leave the kid back there until Floyd can roll again

Love JJ as slot receiver but he should be forced to the locker room on any special teams plays.

From Odom's weekly presser today:

"Odom says he puts the blame on Johnathon Johnson kneeling the kickoff late Saturday on himself and the staff. Said Johnson tried to call a fair catch and wasn't clear on that rule."

Okay Andy Hill defenders...let's hear it.

There is no defense. OM just scored, there is a commercial timeout, that is plenty of time to hold counsel with your SENIOR returner to cover what to do. I dont know what it was besides bad ST coaching at a crucial time in the game.

I thought that they had changed the rule in which you could fair catch the ball anywhere on the field and it automatically goes out to the 25. They said because he fielded the ball on a bounce that's why it was placed where he downed the ball.

Yes if he fair caught the ball it comes out to the 25. But its obvious he was unprepared for the deep kick. How do you not cover the 2 scenarios of a deep kick during a TV timeout.

1. They kick and you can catch it in play either return or fair catch.

2. They kick deep but can't be caught, field it and get the best possible field position.

He chose, watch it bounce, hesitate, and kneel it on the 1 giving the offense the worst field position.

If the coaches are waiting until the tv timeout to teach that to a player it’s too late.

JJ is a good slot receiver. He’s fast/quick. Can make some explosive plays.

A heady player he is not. The coaches biggest mistakes were not from not coaching him up but putting him back there in the first place.

Ok, it’s still too late to wait until in game to cover that scenario. That has to be done during practice so that anyone that might be a returner knows what to do.
