Alabama baseball? What the fuk? Seems these guys should be good.

Because Jim Wells retired and basically made the AD hire his guy, Mitch Gaspard. Once Wells’ talent left the program, Gaspard never fared well. The AD didn’t continue to invest in baseball facilities, and Alabama fell behind. The roster eroded.
Then an interim AD hired Gaspard’s replacement, Greg Goff. He lasted a year. He blew up the roster, running off everyone. And his recruiting was horrible. He left the current coach, Brad Bohannon, with little to work with. But the interim AD did manage to upgrade the baseball facilities to the tune of $60 million.
Bohannon is a damn good recruiter but it is going to take time. 2019 wasn’t what Alabama fans hoped for, but it was a step in the right direction.

Why? Their Athletic Department is pretty trash overall. They're great at 1 sport, pretty good at like 2 others, and garbage at literally anything else.
Probably the worst athletic department overall top to bottom in the SEC
