Petty certainly had an offer from Kentucky...and Kansas was pretty high on him as well.

As far as developing as a player.. none of them have developed under the coaching of Avery Johnson.

So I've said it for years but I don't know how people didn't see AJ Jr's lack of skill development as a major red flag. Sure JR isn't an elite athlete, but how TF are his shot mechanics and dribbling so poor?

As much as people want to trash JR's athleticism, that isn't his limiting factor. He is no less athletic than a Jordan Geist who was a very solid SR SEC starting guard

Jr's shot looks like what you'd get if a less than talented high school girl taught her little brother how to shoot when he was 10, and no one ever bothered correcting him.

Actually was our best 3 point shooter % wise.. at 45.5% which is pretty good.

He also shot 71% from the Free throw line.

...and turned the ball over 600 times a game.

All true, but have you taken into account his perimeter post up game? It's elite.

Yeah, I've brought that up in the past too. Jr's shot form and dribbling are a great indication of his father's teaching ability, or knowledge, or attention to detail, or recognition, or something.

If my daughter is ever seriously interested in one of the precious few things that I'm good at, you can be damn sure I'm not going to let her learn and practice doing them wrong.
