What if Missouri had played better offense against Texas and won the game? I do not think Odom would have promoted from within the offense coach on the staff. I am glad that Dooley is doing a fantastic job so far and is not looking to leave any time soon. Odom did mention that he was looking for coaches that want to stay for a while and not jump at first promotion opportunity. This is why it is hard to find a good head coach that knows how to find a good replacement and make it work. He did made one very bad hired and that was his buddy Cross as a defensive coordinator. I am happy to have Barry Odom as Missouri head coach and hope Missouri fans get an opportunity to congratulate him on his current success. I am looking forward to next year and seeing Missouri get it revenge against South Carolina and Kentucky. That will bring in a huge support from donors and fans support and a much higher recruiting class in 2020.

Dooley did a pretty good job this season, fantastic is a bit of a stretch imho. The Scar and Kentucky games cost him in fan support and confidence in him. Both teams have owned us recently and it's a bit embarrassing considering their football history. Nothing is for sure so slow your roll on next years games against them. Odom has the team heading in a positive direction, but don't expect all of us to be sunshine pumpers.

Do you know recruits do not like bald head coachs? Barry Odom have bald. Fans must support Barry Odom and send him hats to wear when he have recruits! Otherwise recruits do not come and donors and fans and team stop supported. Mizzou also have new second trombone in band. Much better than old one. we needs get behind band and send hats to Barry Odom to.

13th in the nation and 3rd in the SEC in offensive efficiency isn't stretching it. Lefty is full potato but he isn't wrong about Dooley's body of work vs the #6 schedule.

The real problem is Barry did not have anything to prove he was a good to great head coach yet. This year he finally started to show that he is a good head coach. Next year shall be his biggest achievement and he shall get a much better recruiting class based on what he had done in recruiting this year. I am not surprise that he is making a huge progress so far. I am pretty good at evaluating coaches. Gary Pinkel was a good head coach but I see Barry to be an even better head coach than him. Why? He is getting helped from Pinkel and with all the experiences he got from being in the system for a long time did help him improved getting good coaches to work with him. He can evaluate coaches and that is what Gary Pinkel could not do when he was a head coach. This will lead to a much better football program.

I better at evaluate coach and I tell Barry was overhead but quick learn job. Not just Gary Pinkel help but Norm Stewart too help. When? The phone call away. While he miss some coaches he stuck program over long period of history and soon got right coaches. Just not Cross. Barry Odom has to done it over time before can compared to Pinkel.

First of all Barry was a rookie head coach at the college level. Cross was his buddy and teammate at Mizzou. Both made an agreement about working together when one of them becomes a head coach. Cross did not fit his style on defense and it created confusion among the players and coaches. Ever since then he kept finding good replacement and seem to be moving in the right direction ever since. Recruits did not know who Barry Odom was and now quickly seeing that he is a good head coach and got Missouri to two bowl games in a row. There was an article about Gary Pinkel was still around but not on the field to help Barry Odom and the football program. He did the same thing what Spurrier was doing at Florida. At first Barry Odom did not wanted his help and it is now working very well for both Odom and Pinkel. Got to get as much feedback as you can from anyone at Missouri including the AD. Right now I am seeing a stabled program right now than it was 3 years ago. Things are more likely to become one of the best Missouri football program in a very long time. This is going to be very special and most people should take an advantage to see it happened in the near future.
