Getting all the elite players in Jersey. Used to be STRICTLY Notre Dame/Penn State country.
Minkah started the movement.

I thought Anthony Averett started that movement to Bama.

Averett signed two years before Minkah.

Bill King just said on Baton Rouge sports radio that he thinks the kid you got out of NJ might be the single best prospect in the country. He also said the running back you got from IMG has bust written all over him.
Not saying just sharing.

New Jersey has been a hotbed of talent for a while. Its a surprise Rutgers has been as bad as they have been for so long.
I think the problem is that while New Jersey produces some very good talent they don't produce a ton of it which means there isn't much left for Rutgers once bigger schools get finished cherry picking the state.
For Alabama being able to go up North and take a few players is a great way to thumb their nose at all the Northern programs who fish for recruits in the SEC waters.
