Through 5 years, Gus Malzahn is 1-4 in bowl games as Auburn's head coach. Throughout Auburn history, the program is 23-16-1 in bowl games. Malzahn is responsible for 25% of these losses. Crazy stat.

Don’t worry. He might get another bowl win if Auburn makes it back to the Toilet Bowl.

We are 23-17-1, but I get your point. Lost a Rose Bowl, the Outback, a Sugar and a Chick-fil-a, but did win the big one in Bham.

All we have to do is tank the rest of the season so we dont have to take a L in those pesky bowl games

Leath should be terminated for stupidity.

God only knows I'm not a Gus Nut Hugger like some individuals in this forum are, but if we fire a President for reasons of athletics, we've dived into the Black Hole of Calcutta and will never climb our way out.

I'm not a Leath fan by any means, but he should be judged on the performance of the University itself and not its athletic department.

(And I don't have great hopes that his performance in the area of University adminstration will be good either.)

I get your point but a president shouldn't be injecting himself into athletics if he doesn't want to be fired for athletics.

Spending + $30 mil to fire him “eventually” spills over to academics, or it least it should! If all the money pouring into college football doesn’t help the institutions academically what is the point?

I legitimately couldn’t care less about the bowl record. A lot of that comes down to whether or not the team cares about the game or not. I’m more interested in his record vs LSU, Bama, and UGA

That record is equally as abysmal
