They'll never agree to compensate athletes so likely never gonna happen sadly.

Depending on your skill level you can choose to play on Rookie, Varsity, All-American, or Tua

That's not the issue. EA already paid up. The issue is that it's not worth the hassle to them. And that hassle is a pretty damn big one - unlike the NFL which is far smaller and has a players union to go through, there's no centralized authority to go through for either approval or pay and even if they did go to all 128 teams they'd be jeopardizing each student's eligibility.
The best we can hope for is for someone to put out an NCAA Football game with all of our schools but no last names and randomly generated players so there's no likeness issue. Let the user customize their players and I guarantee you customized downloadable rosters, mods, and hacks will do the rest.

can the man get any better?

The players were always random. I always had black aj McCarrons and white Trent’s. The fact that they were able to saying any likeness besides number was assine and clearly a judge that never actually looked at the game made a ruling.

Who's Tua?
The guy in the picture? He looks cross-eyed. And he throws with the wrong hand.

Could they not just completely randomize the rosters? For example Alabama’s starting quarterback is #15 John Smith from Bozeman Montana. My favorite part was the dynasty mode anyway

The rest of his tweet was missing

No you didn’t.
If you played as Alabama, your QB just happened to be #10 look pretty similar to McCarron and have nearly the same attributes as McCarron. That’s how they lost the court case. They tried to play stupid but it didn’t work.

If I remember right, it's not just that the players might have looked like the real athletes, but some of the plays were things like Tebow run right, so there's no way it would be considered generic.

It’s really hard to hate Tua, seems so mature and level headed. Amazing athlete and QB “stanning” for NCAA football to be back. Not really surprised with his culture.
