Our schedule is weak. Very weak. We can't afford to lose a game. Not to Mississippi State, not to LSU, not to Auburn. If we lose any one of those games, or lose to Georgia in the SEC Championship Game, we're done. The SEC is hella weak so far this season. An 11-1 or 12-1 season probably won't cut it this year.

The number 2 team in the ACC just lost by two touchdowns to a 0-3 FCS team. We are okay.

probably, but there just doesn't seem to be a legit top tier in college football that has separated thus far. At this point, I could easily see a one loss sec champion in the playoffs, even with our strength of schedule.

I don’t think Old Dominion is FCS anymore. Point still stands I guess

Nice to know we have a playoff committee member on the board.

Plus the PAC 12 eating its own. OU the prize ship on the Big 12 barely beat Army in OT home and 2 of their other 3 ranked teams lost today.

Absolute nonsense.

The committee is going to keep out the team who will have looked like the best team in CFB by a mile because they dropped one (assuming a close loss)? horseshite.

Eye test really matters.

Only if 4 other P5 teams run the table.

Chances of that? 0%

Huh? Didn’t the SEC only lose one game opening weekend and that was weak arse Tennessee to Ranked West Virginia? Bama isn’t getting left out.

No we don’t - we can lose one and still get in. Relax.

As already mentioned the ACC has zero depth.

The B1G was a disaster last week, that won't be easy to recover from.

The pac 12 looked weak from the start.

We're in better shape in this regard than the competition. Would be nice if Louisville wasn't a complete dumpster fire.

What an overreaction.

If our schedule is deemed weak what the heck would you call Clemson or Ohio States schedules?

SEC Dominates Week 1 of College Football
#2 Clemson Barely Edges Past Texas A&M
Vandebilt nearly upends #8 Notre Dame

The SEC has been very impressive, minus a couple of examples (Tennessee, Arky)

Not sure how we will compete with the undefeated ACC powerhouse teams like Syracuse, Duke, and NC State. That conference is a toilet bowl.

The other undefeated teams are West Virginia, Penn State, Stanford, Colorado, or Cal. Bama would wipe the floor with them. OUs defense is good but not great. OSU should win B10 but I think they'll drop one. Clemson should go undefeated.

WVU and Oklahoma will play each other. That's a loss. You won't have an undefeated Big12 team.

One loss SEC > one loss Big 10, Pac12, Big 12. Everyday.

No the SEC was hella weak last season. LSU lost to Troy, Auburn lost to Clemson, A&M lost to UCLA, Arkansas lost to TCU, and Ole Miss lost to Cal.

If there was going to be a year strength of schedule costs us the playoff, it was last year.
