We need to keep other schools out of our state. Here's to hoping he goes to Southern Miss

Yeah he’s a great player but it doesn’t really make sense for him to pick us with the amount of talent we have coming in at forward.

Wrong class. He is a year behind Woodard and crew.

I know they’re in different classes but that doesn’t change anything. Jeffries thinks he’s a 1 and done and wants a starting spot. Woodard isn’t a 1 and done and will be the starting SF when Jeffries gets there.

He should announce for UK...but I won't be surprised if he ends up at Memphis when it's all said and done.

Are there State fans really suggesting he was going to pick Kentucky because the talent competition at State was steeper?

No not at all. He’s a great player and we definitely wanted him. But that doesn’t change the fact that we’ll have a very good SF going into his sophomore year when Jeffries got there. That would eat into his minutes. Is that a factor? I have no idea. I don’t know the kid. He probably just liked UK more.

Watch out for Memphis getting him now that they have Penny. His high school squad was loaded and he has the AAU pipeline in the city on lock right now. Obviously that could change as I would assume he'll have to cut ties with that to avoid sanctions, but it's probably easy money that he'll get Chandler Lawson(Jefferies cousin) and James Wiseman

I'm sure he knew that Penny would end up at Memphis when he committed to UK. I could see Wiseman whose been a UK lean for a while head to Memphis but I doubt Jeffries decommits.

You see the Lomax news about Wichita State letting him out to go back to Penny? Penny has coached alot of these kids since they were in 5th grade or so. The allure and history of Kentucky and getting him to the NBA might be too much, but don't be shocked if he wavers, especially if Penny can get Chandler Lawson

I won't be shocked, I really want him at UK(both Jeffries and Wiseman) but I could see the allure of playing for your high school coach in college before going to the NBA. Anything is possible.

You think Penny will have Memphis at the levels they were when Cal was there?

I mean Kentucky rotates players in and out. MSU will have a high 4-star entering his second year. Makes sense. Not to say MSU has more talent but Kentucky's is much more likely to leave. It makes sense.
