not hate Alabama? I think Georgia's fans are far worse. One of my best friends is a Bama fan (who goes to Auburn, lol). My girlfriend goes to UA. I just don't seem to have the same hatred for Alabama as I do Georgia.

Grew up in Alabama.
When I was younger, I HATED Alabama.
Now, I don't "hate" them.
I cannot stand some of their fans.
This year though I wanted to beat UGA's arse so bad. I'm still not over that game.

I live in Mobile and there are a ton of Bama and LSU fans here. I do not hate Alabama fans, or at least the ones I work or come into contact with on a regular basis. To me, UGA is bigger and I want to beat UGA more as my wife is a dawg fan and is from GA.

Grew up in Louisiana when not a single soul cared anything about LSU football. I conserve most of my hate for LSU and their 'lifelong fans since 2003'

Bama alum, generally, are cool people. It’s the Alabama fans waiting at the DMV and oafing around the Walmart clothing section that get on my nerves.

I have no problem with the school or fans of the school. I have a problem with aholes who happen to be Alabama/Georgia fans
I still root for then to lose, but it is part of the rules and not some irrational hatred

I grew up in a family full of bammers so it was never really about hatred, but just rubbing their nose in losing. Even now I have a lot of friends who took with the tide. As much as it hurts to say it, bama is the best and I respect them and I want to beat them.

I hate Bammer Fan, I like Alabama Fan. In fact will have at least 7 Alabama Fans and one Bammer fan at the tailgate.
Let me explain...
Bammer Fan, cannot find Ttown with a Map, never had any connection to Alabama except buying Bammer gear, first to shout how great the Tide is, how Auburn cheats, yada, yada, yada... Never argue with an idiot, they will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Alabama fan attended Alabama or had many, many family members who did. They know the score and know why Alabama is so good. They understand the REC and like sports. Can have an intelligent conversation with them on multiple topics including football.
You may can find exceptions to the this rule, but that is rare and almost unheard of.

Two types of them, Alabama fans and then bammers. The fans are decent, educated people who can appreciate what their school has done, and don't feel the need to interject it into everyday conversation. The bammers are the updykes, the trashy lady who jumped on the Oklahoma kids, and most recently the father and son Bammer who were arrested for fighting at the FSU game.

This is all me as well. fricking cannot stand LSU and their fans. Born and raised in southeast LA. No one cared about LSU football until after 2003. It was all about the baseball program.

For years these insufferable bastards have done everything in their power, legally and even more often illegally, to hold us down and keep us from the glory we deserve. They look down upon you. They poison our trees. They shoot us. They frick their cousins.
But come Saturday afternoon we rise, we go in dry, and we don’t stop until all Sabans little Debbie’s are shoved back up through his throat from whence they came.
And as for us? We catch the next train for Atlanta and UGA will long for the day we only beat them by 23.
