I'm normally an bball only poster, but I just wanted to say that Julio seems like a great guy and a great story to read about. The AU people from Foley all speak the world about him as a person
As a football player, I was surprised just how well he has developed in college and now the pros. I thought he'd be a NFL freak athlete guy, but he seems to be improving all aspects of his game. Hopefully he can leave the Falcons at some point so he cna win a SB

Looking back, he was so underused at Bama. Can you imagine if he had been the focus like Ridley and Amari Cooper

Because he was so underused, Julio never became an All American in college. Because he didn't, Julio will never be eligible for the College Football Hall of Fame.
As the story says, Julio was a major part of Alabama turning around and the start of the dynasty.
So, it's a shame he'll never be in the college HOF.
I have this picture hanging on my wall....

It's one of things romanticized about Jim McElwain while he was at Bama. Criminal how he underused one of the greatest WRs of this generation.

He was the focus of our offense. Teams had to double team him and gameplan around him all 3 years he was here.
The big difference was the QBs throwing to him, but he was definitely the focus of our offense.

I think they were too afraid of turnovers - it was the Tennessee game in Julio's final year where i felt like they finally said "hey if we just launch it up in the air, Julio is probably going to come down with it".

Yeah we didn't exactly have a QB during that time that was throwing dimes.....some say we still don't but I digress.

Very good read, but can't help but think it's bad timing because of that rough drop against Carolina last week. Julio still a goat though

I was at the 300 yard game against Carolina with my dad. Probably the greatest athletic feat I'll ever see live in my lifetime.
