Jumping the gun here a little bit, say we do 3peat and Carson Beck wins his very own national championship would his story be Sweeter then Stetson Bennett? I mean here you have a kid who’s waited a very long time for his turn patiently No drama kinda DJ Shockleyish

Like the other guy said not even close lol. Beck was a high 4 star player coming out of highschool. He had all the measurable strong arm, lead his team to a national championship his Junior year. He fell off a little bit of senior year because he didn't have the same offensive line he had his junior year. Nonetheless, Beck was highly recruited and came to Georgia to compete. There's nothing about his journey that is comparable to Stetson's other than having to wait his turn.

Beck was Mr. Football in Florida as a junior on the 8A state champion. He's seen himself as an NFL QB since Highschool.

I think at one point he was the #4 QB in the class, and if not for a disappointing senior season he could have been right behind Young and DJ U - likely a 5*. As it went, he slid to the teens.

Stet came out of nowhere, and everybody from fans to his own coaches didn't think he could do it.

It's not even close.

Bennett might have the most remarkable underdog success story in the history of college football, one of the most remarkable stories in all of sports.

So no. But it would still be a nice story.

Seems to me that Carson is the one that the coaches didn't believe in. He never started a game over Stetson.

That's why Carson was ahead of Bennett on the depth chart in offseason/preseason 2020 and 2021?

Carson expected to start UAB 2021. His dad even went public about it on social media.

Carson was handed the opportunity to drive the Ferrari. He dropped the keys (he admits he wasn't ready in 2021).

Throwing that pick 6 and just standing there like a statue as the defender waltzed past him to the endzone was a terrible first look at how he handled getting punched in the mouth.

It's apparent that he's grown by leaps and bounds since then.

He was one of only 2 offensive starters returning from the state championship winning team as a senior. Plus his defense suffered heavy graduation losses as well. He had to carry that team as a senior with little help and his stats weren't as good. That's a large part as to why he slid.

Good for your point.

Beck was "it" and ahead of stetson until it came time to actually pick someone to perform on Saturdays.
I'm curious why you disagree with that point.

Hell... stet was splitting reps with Brock Vandagriff in summer and fall 2021. Vandagriff (true freshman) was on equal footing during Fall camp 2021 as stetson bennett.

Stetson in a generational story of a true underdog fighting and fighting through impossible odds to lead his team to 2 Natties.

If Beck wins one, it will also be an awesome story of perseverance and growth, just not on the same level as Bennett. I hope he fulfills his destiny.

IF/when Beck leads us there, the Cvnt Nation will say "why did we have this guy on the bench for 3 years? Kirby can't manage a QB Room!"

Watch it happen.

The media really doesn't like Bennett. Saw the story where he didn't graduate yesterday. He must give off the vibe to the media like he did when the reporter came up to him in the car and he ignored her. He has to expect the media to turn on him w/ all the stuff going on. He would probably do well getting a good PR firm. I get the impression he really doesn't care. He probably has at least 1 million from NIL less taxes.
