Those NIL monies will be fine as soon as they are rid of Harsin or he starts winning.

One year of so-so recruiting is not the same penalty it once was. The Portal can fix a lot of holes in your depth chart quickly.

Well yeah but Harsin's portal plan wasn't too good the last 2 cycles.

Auburn has to go heavy in NIL long enough to let the winning to help their recruiting.

Once Harsin gone then. It could be a two year thing but trust me Auburn will not just quit.

I’ll admit that Harsin is having trouble on the recruiting trail but saying he missed in the portal is not accurate at all. He has some starters and several guys who will play lots of minutes who came through the portal. He filled needs for sure. Hell half the D-line came from the portal and that’s one of our team strengths (if we have any). I’m pulling for the guy to win 7 or 8 this year and build momentum. He’s clearly a winner. He just might be in too dysfunctional a family to succeed.

He filled some holes through the portal. Oline & WR's were a need as well. He didn't sign a full '22 class, didn't sign a single player on NSD in February and from the looks of things so far, he'll have a hard time pulling the +30 players to fill his roster limit of 85 for '23. This is a year to stock up when the 25/class cap has been waived.

He may be a clear winner at Boise level - Auburn ain't Boise.

Aubie is the little brother. It took an act from Montgomery to FORCE Bama to play Auburn. Auburn is regional, Bama is national. With the NIL Aubie has no chance. Yes, Aubie has good alums but they don't have the armada Bama has behind them. They rely on two or 3 people to keep that program afloat.

Auburn will be in a holding pattern until he is officially gone and then they can start to rebuild.

With who? What coach with a sound mind would come to a job like Auburn when the PTB and 30-40% of fans turn on you after your first year coaching. I’m afraid we will resemble the Tenn program of the last decade or more.

We fricked Harsin and ourselves.
