He's also looking at another offensive coordinator change. He's got a year left before going pro.
He could have 2 years left to play but if he transfers he is going to have to learn a new system as well.

Not if he is playing for his Dad. I personally believe he will come back, but wants to meet the new OC. He loves Auburn and always will.

Agree I think Bo comes back but I wouldnt play games with the Portal and Harsin, CBH might tell him see ya later.
I think he comes back and leaves Auburn with most of the QB records.
Side note, I think the portal is generally bad for the student atheletes. Someone tells them they should leave and can do great things elsewhere and most dont get picked by other schools or end up going to some very small school.

It's the kids that haven't graduated that are a poor reflection IMO. Canion for example.

I could easily see him going somewhere else for a year. If it was me, I'd transfer out West for a year. I don't think that'd be reflective of the program at all.
It’s reflective because he is one of the SEC’s top QBs, our 3 year starter, and nobody has yet to beat him out, yet he would be leaving anyway. He wouldn’t be leaving because he just got engaged and he has already graduated. He wouldn’t be leaving for the dumb fans although they made the decision easier for him. He would be leaving because he would have a new OC, new O line, and he doesn’t trust the coaches to give him the players to support his senior year. So why not start fresh somewhere else? Believe it or not he probably doesn’t want to run for his life all four years on campus.

Canion means nothing to Auburn. He is just another guy that didn’t work out.

Don’t try to spin a legacy, 3 year starting QB transferring as positive.
I don't think anyone is saying it would be a positive. But in my mind, it tells me more about Bo Nix and his mindset than the entire program.
Auburn is, always has been, and always will be greater than one person. Coach, player, recruit, AD, or fan. Seems like some of y'all, and Bo himself, have maybe forgotten that.

Look, I cannot remember a QB at Auburn aside from Cam Newton that did not take shite from the fans.
Patrick was the QB when I was at Auburn and we would boo him off the field and chant for Dameyune to come in.
Its what it is. Being a QB means you are the face of the team and you are going to take the brunt of criticism from fans whether its justified or not when the offense is flailing.
If he’s that soft and his feelings are that tender, then he can go find somewhere else where the expectations aren’t as high and the fans are more gentle.

Sounds great. But in reality our coaches do not have that leverage if they want to pay the bills. They have to re-recruit our best players until our program is selling itself. We are not in that position yet. Recruiting is lacking and we just finished 6-6. Just being realistic here.

Buts let about hear more of those Auburn family sweet words that make Auburn fans gush with pride

Amen.
There isn't a fanbase in the country where he would be universally loved and not catch flack for his performance over the past 3 years. Deserved or not. That just comes with the territory of being a CFB QB. Especially when you have the expectations of a blue chip HS recruit who was given the reigns as a true freshman.
shite, if his goal is to catch on in the NFL, he's in for a rude awakening. Every NFL fanbase except 3 or 4 would make us Auburn fans look like sweet, innocent children. If he doesn't like unwanted criticism, then he should just sell real estate or something. Because that's just part of playing QB.

I'll take Rattler, Miller or Dillon and wish Bo well at Troy.

When his arse is getting handed to him by Georgia freaking State…..criticism is justified.
He’s not a top SEC QB. Maybe he could have been had he had quality development when he arrived on campus, but right now he has not. He gets too into his own head and makes stupid decisions. He’s made strides in his mechanics but no way is he ready for the NFL.
If I was Harsin I would start scanning the portal for another QB and if it upsets the Nix family, so be it. He shouldn’t have teased leaving in his interviews. Harsin needs to prepare rather than wait and then Bo bolts. Piss or get off the pot.
Also I’m not sure what Patrick Nix ever saw in Gus Malzahn that made him think “this is the man that is going to take Bo to the next level”. Bo came here 100% because its Auburn. Gus was literally THE shittiest QB developer, ever. EVER. Bo’s got an opportunity to continue under Harsin who has a much better record in that department.

Exactly. So why freak out over a QB leaving that just went .500 his 3rd year starting? I hope Nix stays, but let’s not act like we’d be losing Peyton Manning here.

And criticism was given. Whole team sucked. Walk on fullback tore a new one into our defense. He also sucked against A&M. Criticism is deserved. However it’s undeniable he and a couple receivers improved a ton as the year went along. His QB averages the last four games show that.
