I hate to break it to you, but Clemson is slowly sliding back into mediocrity where they belong.
They had a few generational QBs lead them to the promise land, but imo they aren't straying at the top.

Venables should stay at Clemson. He's obviously found a place where he can be consistent and successful. He has never shown interest in being a head coach, and I do not want my school to 'convince' some coordinator to give it a shot, who almost certainly won't have their heart in it and that true conviction that's needed, based on mercenary money.
There are very few people in life who find out exactly where they belong, and can reach the highest pinnacles of success in their chosen field. BV, don't ruin that.
OU will find a coach eventually. It may take us a swing and a miss or two. But we'll get there.
