From Mitchell Forde

#Mizzou tight end Daniel Parker Jr. has informed the staff that he plans to enter the transfer portal, per a source. The fourth-year tight end has one season of eligibility remaining.

Had a lot of playing time. A guess he didn’t realy have the flu last weekend.

He's been sending out cryptic text all year as though he wanted to leave.

I'm just going to say it, but there have been some players and ex employees who have had issues with Drink and have said that he was a phony. This might not have anything to do with Parker leaving, but you never know.
He also probably wants to win something before he leaves school.

I don't doubt that Drink is (or could be perceived as) a phony, but I also don't doubt that Parker has his own issues.

So drill down on the use of the word phony for me. What are you hearing? Anything specific?

Also hearing some rumblings from ex employees about drink. Im not hearing the phony part, im more hearing he is very difficult to work with and he sees himself above everyone else due to being the HC of the football program.

This indoor facility is in part due to him scheduling the other indoor facility everyday all day and not allowing other sports to have access to it. Even if football didn't end up using it that day.

A SEC coach that's a bit of a duck. With the exception of Pittman, I'd say that's par for the course.

I just hope Parker doesn't end up at Arkansas. We would never hear the end of it.

Wouldn't be surprised if Sam and Barry have already called him.

And Scott Frost is looking up Parker's phone number.

EVERY program has the transfer portal warriors it is the new norm. I want specifics on the phony quote though. As for scheduling the indoor, it is what the big boys do could care less if he is a dick as long as he wins.

Very few Football coaches are sweethearts. Its just not what they do.

I would be shocked if he doesn't go to Arkansas. They are on the doorstep of a top 10 team next year. It makes all the sense.

I have no comment on Drink's ability to work with others.

To be fair, I think to be a great college HC you have to be a bit narcissistic. The thought of someone else being better than you has to eat you up to drive you to the point of doing everything you can to win.

I mean I get why he does it, im just the messenger. But I could see how from an employee side, it makes it difficult to work with him.

Sounds like some in the program are upset that Drink won’t be pushed around like Odom

Hea should be solid and we have some good TE recruits on the horizon, but 2 TEs entering the portal is interesting. Could our TE coach be moving on maybe? Or just a coincidence?

I would expect Hoerstkamp to get the bulk of playing time next year unless he’s just not anywhere near as good as advertised.

The TE coach possibly moving on could be a good guess. I haven’t heard anything there.

I would guess it was a frustrating season overall for pass catchers. I wouldn’t be surprised to see more than 1 WR in the portal.

Parker is not the only player to move on from Missouri following the team's final game of the regular season, a 34-17 loss at Arkansas on Friday. Fellow tight end Messiah Swinson and cornerback Chris Shearin both entered the transfer portal on Monday, as well. Shearin tweeted his decision and a source confirmed to PowerMizzou that Swinson informed the staff Monday morning of his decision to transfer.(from PM)

Swinson is interesting. Doesn’t move the needle.

Shearin hasn’t really found the field in three years when there should have been plenty of opportunity.

There will be more.
