Would we be willing to take him as the offensive coordinator over Bobo? Do we think Harsin would make the move and replace Bobo?

frick Dan Mullen

But he was a good OC, and being in a subordinate role is the only way I'd ever have him at AU. When I first saw the thread title I thought you meant as HC and I was about to tell you to frick off

I second Rigs post. Frick that hunched back fricker. Last thing we need is the team getting a fatal case of the crabs from Merlin’s wife.

Harsin should have and needs to hire young up and coming types with energy to be his coordinators. IMO he should let each one have a say in at least one other coach on their staff. I know that is unusual for up and comers but the hole he is digging will require some out of the box thinking. He couldn't have done a much worse job putting a staff together IMO.

Derek Mason HAS “energy.”

He is just not aggressive with his play calls.

Don’t know that I trust his recruiting at this point but he’s a good play caller for sure

Maybe that's not the best way to express what I was saying.

Harsin, who some were skeptical would be a good hire coming from out of the SEC footprint chose to hire to former HC's for his coordinators. I bet both Mason and Bobo believe they are better equipped to run Auburn than Harsin.

Harsin was always going to have the not from here doubt...he should have snagged to hungry coordinators with some ties to the area for recruiting and built a circle the wagons mentality on the coaching staff. He'll get another chance and IMO he should approach this 2nd opportunity with a similar mindset.

I take pleasure in Mullens pain. Will never forgive him or his wife. Don’t want him or her around our players.

Strangely enough, Gus and Mullen are really good friends. Mullen even went out of his way to talk about Gus getting hired at UCF in one of his UF pressers.

Ummmm....our recruiting is already shitty. You want a coach that doesn't recruit during the season?

Are you serious right now?

What on earth makes you think this? Specifically, what have Derek Mason or Mike Bobo said or done to make you think this ridiculous thought?

Pure speculation and a terrible, terrible assumption to make. You sound like a sports beat writer fishing for clicks man.

He accused Auburn of paying Cam to come to Auburn instead of Mississippi State.

Hell to the fricking no. Not even as a water boy.

This is a message board. It isn't crazy to assume coaches at that level have huge egos, etc...In fact, it less likely that a fired former head coach thinks they are lucky to have a job as a coordinator than they were dealt a bad hand and only biding their time.
