What a terrible decision to go for it. Basically gave them a TD. NEVER give a bad offense a short field. It was basically a turnover right before half.

Why were we so desperate at a that point in the game? At 14-7 I would have felt OK, at 14-14, I felt here we go again.

IMHO this cost us the game.

Definitely changed the momentum. I agree. You punt the ball in that situation- 100 times out of 100. Someone should make a meme with Lane in a thought bubble talking to Harsin. :)

Going for it is an easy decision, throwing it deep with a terrible passing game was a terrible decision.

Was probably the stupidest decision I’ve seen since the 4 QB game

I agree on the timing of it.

SC wasn’t going to score many points anyway so why give them a short field to work with?

But let’s say it can give your team a boost if u make it, certainly the primary option wasn’t the pass thrown. Low percentage for sure.
Wasn’t it just a yard to go? Why not a Tank carry or ummm a QB sneak from your 6’7” 250 lb QB.
We Were avging 5.8 on ground. Tank over 7 yards a carry.
Bobo tried to overthink with his backup qb.

That whole sequence of plays are confusing.

2nd and four

Wide Receiver screen loses four yards ...now 3rd and eight.

End up 4 and one then depend on misfiring Finley to connect.

Does Bobo leave to go to the bathroom in ongoing drives down the field? Calling plays from his sheet while sitting on the toilet? Maybe he uses his playlist to wipe his butt and forgets where he is at, when he flushes....

I don't really mind going for it being on the road and trying to be aggressive. I don't necessarily like it, but I can at least see the train of thought behind it. I, personally, would ha e kicked it.

I'm with everyone else on the playcall. You have two stud rbs who you could have turned and handed to. Or you take your 6'7" 250lb giant QB and have him fall forward. Either of those has a MUCH higher probability of making the line than a fricking deep throw.

A few factors that make the play call so mind boggling.

1. We were deep into our own territory.. On the 35 yard line
2. Only 3.5 minutes left in the half. Make them earn points before the half
3. Their offense sucked up to that play. Why shorten the field?
4. We were in solid command of the game. We were up 14-0 at the time.
5 We threw a bomb on 4th and one with a backup QB to receivers that struggle to get open.
6. Our RB averaged 7 YPC that game
7. The QB is 6 foot 7. Just QB sneak the mutha

It’s ALL on Hars.

The fire Bono crowd must not realize that Harsin knows and condones every play call.

There was ZERO excuse or reason to go for it and it ultimately lost us the game.

We are playing on the road.
Back up QB
Top WR out.
Leading by 7
Own 35 yard line
South Carolina gets the ball in the 2nd half..

It was STUPID. Its a "frick it" move and one you usually don't see unless a coach is either checked out on the season or desperate.

All and Harsin had to saw about it was "Thought we need a spark and it worked in practice".. Harsin, you dumb MF, We had the lead on the road with a back up QB and could run at will.. we didn't need a spark from our own 35 yard line.. we needed to play smart.
