Apparently a 2nd victim has come forward claiming rape in 2020 from Anderson.

Looks like his ship has sailed

Ugh hate it for him if innocent, pissed and ashamed if true

There has to be a statute of limitations placed on this shite.

I get the first accuser reported it the next day, that sounds legit. Hopefully not, but you know what I'm saying.

The second "victim"....If you were raped, actually raped, you don't wait a fricking year to come forward. That's bullshite.

I would like to hear the females' opinions on this one.

Guys are told, rightfully, think about your mother/sister/daughter.

Gals, think about your father/brother/son.

I read the yahoo article about it and the one girl said she was at a bar until 2am and then met Anderson and another player and went back to their apartment. She said she was really drunk. What exactly did she plan on doing? Play UNO and eat snacks?

Btw the article said they were originally at the apartment of “G.P”(assuming that’s George Pickens) and then she passed out and ended up at Adam’s apartment being penetrated. Best not be trying to get Pickens involved.

Not really. Maybe it was the trauma that made them never want to relive the worst day of their life, or maybe it’s the cavalier attitude like yours that make victims worry that nobody will believe them, even if the come forward right away, and so they delay. The fact that someone else comes forward can give a second victim courage to come forward.

Who knows whether this girl is lying or truthful, I guess we will find out. I support the presumption of innocence. But there is a statute of limitations out on this. Maybe 15 years is too long, but one year certainly isn’t too long. I mean, the generic statute for misdemeanors is two years.

The money angle doesn't make sense. If Anderson had just signed a big NFL contract, perhaps.

Option 3): It was pure "he said/she said" with the second woman and she was reluctant to come forward at the time. However, now that someone else has pressed a case, she thinks she might actually be believed. Or just wants some measure of justice.

Can't automatically assume that they're all just making false accusations for money or attention, can you?

Rape/sexual assault do have statutes of limitations. They're probably just longer than 1 year.

If that's what they're doing, they're *really* doing it wrong, as they're likely fricking up his odds of getting to the NFL and making bank. If the goal was cash, they should have waited until he signed with a team, then made their claims.

That’s true but we’re likely taking about 20ish year old women who aren’t receiving a Rhodes Scholarship.

These are sad situations when you have little to no physical evidence to defend yourself. She can say whatever she wants at this point. Not saying it isn’t true but money likely isn’t the motive.

Dudes better learn to protect themselves and stop having sex with drunk women as fun as it may be and as willing as they are to get into that situation.

Let's be honest...these things very, very, very rarely happen with a no name person. Also, very very very very rarely is a woman that does press charges, doing it for money.

I am not taking sides here or saying it happened or didn't, I am just saying, if you are having sex with a drunk chick that doesnt pass out, you are just fine.

I'm trying to stay out of the whole discussion until all of the evidence comes out but I agree with every word you typed there.

It’s a gamble in today’s world. You have zero defense if it is acknowledged they are drunk and they decide for almost any reason to turn against you. Regret, embarrassment, guilt, jealousy, envy, revenge, narcissism.

Generally, the passing out happens after the consensual sex. The story gets retold slightly different or misremembered..then what.? He said she said with the law on the other side.

Not defending what might have happened but these guys have to protect themselves.

I can’t even count or remember the number of times I ended up with a drunk female in college and I know athletes that did it twice as much as me. You do it enough and odds increase.

The law doesn’t say drunk chick that passed out. It say intoxicated people can’t give consent. Period. The University rules are even more weighted against you.

It’s fd up and removes so much personal responsibility.

College girls need to learn to differentiate between rape and regret. I'll leave it for the courts to decide in this case, but the overarching need for the distinction is paramount.

Depends on the state. When I was in college in NC the law was against males. So even if you're both drunk, the guy is at fault. It may have changed.
