Based on everything we know about him, he's an attention whore from Texas not interested in working for a starting role.

I don't know what he was thinking.
And it's not just Stroud.
Miller and McCord are both young and were big time QB recruits.
So he has 3 big time qb's to beat out who aren't much older than him.

He is not going anywhere....... He knew exactly what he was doing... He'll RS this year and then next year he will play behind Stroud.... It will be tough but McCord is an elite QB also... Miller is also very good but he will probably transfer. When Stroud completes next year and goes to the NFL, it will be either Ewers or McCord. I'll put my money on Ewers because he is a generational QB, one of only 6 ever to record a perfect 1.000 on 247 composite. He is that good.

They're contracts, so probably no backing out unless there's some kind of clause giving them an out. Usually that's going to be a "morals" clause though, not a "in case you fricking suck" clause. Otherwise DJ Vowels wouldn't be in Dr. Pepper commercials involving a magical transfer portal.
