Is this rundown of the Ole Miss 24/7 fiasco correct?

1. Yancy Porter made up a quote from Devin Brown, a Southern Cal QB commit, and posted it to the Ole Miss Spirit message board.
2. Devin Brown put Yancy on blast on Twitter and said he never said that.
3. Yancy posted to the Spirit message board that he never misquoted anybody, but still took the quote down.
4. Yancy DM'ed Devin Brown on Twitter and asked him to take the Tweet down "because it's making me look bad".
5. Devin Brown then tweeted a screenshot of the DM and said an apology would be better.
6. Yancy posted an apology and said he used an anonymous "stringer" to get the quote and didn't vet it.
7. A number of Ole Miss Spirit posters called on Spirit Chuck to fire Yancy. Chuck said Yancy made a mistake, but that he wouldn't fire him because of his importance to the program and how Yancy is personally responsible for dozens of recruits going to Ole Miss.
8. Last night, the OM Spirit was rebranded to "Inside the Rebels" and as of right now, it appears that Yancy, Ben, and Chuck have been fired by CBS/24/7 Sports. David Johnson remains.

Naming it “inside the rebels” is the biggest of those sins IMO. Gross.

This didn't seriously happen, did it? NCAA violations galore if so.

Go to the ED board - I'm sure it has been covered entirely there. Only people that seem to be even concerned about it are State fans.

Ole Miss is an embarrassment to the conference. Their programs, even when good, maybe especially when they're good, are cringy af.
And their off the field antics are a problem seemingly every year.

This is coming from the school which gave us the Bobby Petrino fiasco and where Bert's wife was talking shite to her husband's former employer (Wisconsin) after they lost a heartbreaker to Arizona State? Didn't your AD fire Bert on the field before he could make it to the locker room and address his players after a loss?
Please, Pig.

Yall have to be the dumbest
no... No kid who has a choice between two equal schools picks one over the other because cheeze dick Yancy (or anyone else that writes about recruiting for 247, Scout, etc..)
Yancy definitely prevented kids from going to OM due to his shittiness.

The Arkansas fans base is an embarrassment. See how trashy they looked when shown. Straight up white trash!

The only fan base I have seen looked worse are Tennessee fans. That overview of them was bad

Steve Robertson's book about this incident will be top notch.

No one has a good reason... As of two days ago he isn't "around" anymore.

Although I'm not fascinated by the "fiasco", I am fascinated by opposing fans' fascination with it.
The amount of intrigue people have with this is quite the spectacle.
ETA: Actually now that I think about it, the only reason I'm aware that any of that happened is because of state fans
