It was only one pass but that bomb looked as good as any pass I’ve seen an Arkansas QB make since Mallett.

I think decision making more than arm is where he needs to develop

I agree, I’m not calling for him to start, I just said that was a pretty pass.

Especially with everyone saying he can’t throw or is untrusted to throw.

Not to sound too crazy, but he kinda reminds me of Mike Vick

If he doesn’t get the starting job by the end of the year, he will be gone i am afraid. He needs to learn ball control. He has put it on the ground every time he has been out there. Definitely not working with 9.5” hands.

Isn’t that the knock on any QB they want to drop in the draft?

Totally agree. It's not hard to see him starting eventually if he stays.

My guess is that it has more to do with composure than hand size but who knows

he just looks like one hard hit and he is toast... Such a small dude!

Yep, luckily it's hard to get any kind of bead on a guy like that. He can go from full speed to dead stop back to full speed faster than anyone I've seen.

Vick is who I immediately thought of when he took off running against Texas.

If I'm coach I put him in at WR and bring him in motion every play to fake/run an end around or possibly let him pass. But that's probably why I'm not a coach

Can’t say that, I said him in the slot or coming across in motion for a throw or to get an edge would be our Percy Harvin.

He has a lot of potential. I think sitting behind KJ Jefferson will do him a world of good. Much like KJ was well served to sit behind Franks last year. You get some playing time, you learn the offense, and you pick up some good habits.

Man I hope not. He will be awesome and practically guaranteed 2 year starter after KJ leaves.

One thing that might help is he was thrown to the wolves in the TAMU game and did not look spectacular. He didnt look bad, but maybe that opened his eyes to the fact that he isnt quite ready for the big stage yet. Maybe that will buy us some time with him.

Hornsby is going to go win the Heisman at some other school. I've already accepted it. Not mad or anything. KJ is the better QB right now but Hornsby has endless potential.

He looked like he needed time to learn the offense and read defenses better

And it could have been caught.

The potential there is almost limitless, but he obviously has issues with ball handling and security. Seems like he can give you 3 spectacular plays, then 3 disaster plays right after that.

My prediction is that he goes wherever Briles goes, should he leave for a HC job, if it doesn't look like he'll become the starter any time soon.

All I know is, Hornsby needs to be on the field as much as possible in some fashion.

Certainly respect all of y’all’s coaching prowess…but I’m happy letting Sam and KB decide how to use Hornsby.

It's tough because his skillet is so similar to KJ.
