So Ole Miss will have a bye before playing one conference game?

This seems like a terrible way to manage the SEC Gauntlet. Play Louisville, Tulane, and Austin Pea and taking a break?

Lane going all in on this one. Don’t see how the Rebs will keep this up long term unless that starting D stays healthy.

I know we’d rather have a later bye. Next year we play nine straight before the bye. Including five straight in the SEC.

Did Lane have a choice? Maybe he lost a poker game.

Who determines the bye week in a schedule?

Agreed, I guess there is a benefit to getting a bye before Alabama, but I'd much rather see it in late Oct/early Nov.

I was fairly sure it's the conference, as the conference play schedule is determined by them.

After the terrible showing last week, I'd prefer we have a game the week before Ole Miss instead of a bye.

I feel like Austin Pea or Tulane is basically a bye and something Ole Miss would prefer to have to spread out these NC games as byes rather than having basically 3 in a row or 4 if you count Louisville

Ole Miss has the 1st bye week this season and the last one next season.

I would think so too. Why is this even a thread? It's not Lane chatted with AD and said "I want my bye week before SEC games". There was no choice.

That game will be less interesting when y’all have two losses and we have one, but it’ll still be fun to see national shred you to pieces in his revenge tour.

Can you explain revenge tour? Is it revenge because he threw 6 picks? Lulz.

Yes. It was the most embarrassing loss of the season. Also gave Hogs a false hope. Much like Texas did this year.

How do we have false hope when we’ve proved everyone wrong and taken care of business? You can say what you want about Texas but OM hasn’t faced anything near that either. We aren’t claiming to win the west, but OM was certainly one of the games we thought we’d win this year. A&M, not so much and it’s looking like we may be able to. Your team is not scary at all, it’s more scary as a friend to wonder how corral will survive.

I don’t ever remember an Auburn schedule like this year. Auburn plays all of their non Conference games in September then 8 Conference games in a row starting in October. There is a bye week sandwiched in the SEC games.

I don’t really hate it. It’s just different.

Oh man... This is going to be a great topic to rehash after the Arky/OM game. Please do chime in after that one. It'd be a real shame if you disappeared suddenly.

At least we don't have the 6 teams that had a bye before on of Bama's seasons.

We’ve won 11 games in 4 years. Where the hell am I going to go?
