...to be the Terminator cyborg they have been in the past.

They usually crush the opponents' will early and then choke the life out of them slowly until they die a painful football death.

But a mediocre set of skill players at Florida had them hanging on for dear life and they look beatable.

This has to be troubling if you are a Tide fan.

Do they find another gear? Probably, Saban is the GOAT and has coached them up in the past, so if history is a teacher, we can assume they get stronger.

But then again.....

For as long as Pete Golding exist, there is hope in the SEC.

doesn't take a 5 year old to see that this years offense is no where near the level of last years. Its was bound to happen eventually at some point.

Why are people acting like this is some shocking development? We lost tons of dudes from last year, we've looked "mortal" in plenty of seasons, championship ones (2015, 2017) and non championship ones (2014, 2019).

I like how everyone is piling up on Bama after 3 games.

Haven't you idiots learned anything over the years?

True. But at least they didn't struggle to beat a team that struggled with Georgia Tech.

Also, 1980.

Saban's just looking forward to the Texas matchup. Can't blame him.

Clemson has a putrid offense.

Florida is a top 5 team.

Therefore

Bama > UGA

Let's all remember after the 3rd game last year people were saying similar things after Ole Miss had 2 RB's go for over 100 yards each and put up a bunch of points on Bama.

Of course we can't remember what people said last month much less last year.

Nobody playing QB at Bama will ever
Duplicate Macs numbers. Same with Burrows at LSU. It is what it is. Can't stay on top forever.

What exactly has Clemson done this year to make everyone think they are any better than Florida?

Most teams that win the natty have 5 losses the following season, right?

Don't fall for it. Bama always has a tighter than expected contest early on. This is the reason for the Ole Miss wins a few years back. Unfortunately for Ole Miss, I think Bama got it out of their system already.

I expect the machine to be running optimally against Ole Miss next week.

They're not as strong offensively as they have been recently. Their QB and overall running game are pretty far behind last year's squad.

You are 100% correct in your observations; despite the downvotes.

If you've ever been unfortunate enough for these people to be your charge, you know the consequences of having one at your back. A guaranteed sack.

Dude in 2014 we lost to Ole Miss then went to Arkansas and squeaked out a 14-13 win then lost to Ohio State in the playoffs.

In 2015 we lost to Ole Miss again at home, barely beat Tennessee 19-14, needing a strip sack as UT was driving to win, then went to the wire vs Clemson 45-40 in the NC game.

Not to mention the Rocky Block game vs Tenn in 2009 before Saban’s first NC at Bama.

Goal line stand vs Penn State in 1979….

I could go on. This idea that Bama has always steamrolled to natties is bullshite. We’ve had many gut check games on the way to national championships.
