USC was .500 team in the late 90s. PC revived the program in the early 00s. They would have been a playoff contender from 2002 basically through the end of that decade. They will get back to the top eventually, but Mullen would be a god awful hire for them. I’ll ask the question again… who has Dan Mullen really beat that is worthy of mentioning?

I think Mullen fancies himself a young Meyer / Saban type but it's so far mostly unearned.
Gator fans seem to be getting testy with him. If the post-Spurrier years taught us anything it's that you get 3 years to start bringing in some hardware or it's hit-the-road.
I don't think he'd have a lot of success at USC, dude just isn't a recruiter.

Mullen is a damn good coach. He needs to get another DC though.

If Mullen wants to do things his way, he'll have to do it somewhere else. His way doesn't win. If he's going to win at UF, he's going to do it my way.

Hm the fact that she was shopping where she physically worked was a curious omission in the initial statement.
