At some point, if you want to keep him longterm and be Pittman's version of Brent Venables, Arkansas must pony up and pay him BIG bucks... Like $2.5M+, so that he won't take a G5 HC job or bolt for a DC position at a perennial Playoff type team.
With what would seem to be a big boost to Football revenues this year b/c of attendence, merch, Hog+, SEC TV deals, etc., they should easily be able to cover that salary, us expand the coaching pay pool in general. They must keep him at all costs.

We should pay him and well. But there's more to this job for him than money. He's working with close friends, close to home, at the top league in the country. He's probably not looking for an exit.

He will go be a head coach after this season. That will be a shame for us but can't blame him for bettering himself

Also we have two young rockstar assistants in Michael Scherer and Sam Carter.
