Has to be one of the most meaningless awards out there.
Oh look, Bama QB had great game against a terrible Miami team.
Give him the Heisman.
Could we at least get to mid season before the ridiculous Heisman polls.

Did you just wake up from a coma? It's 2021, this is how the media treats everything. Poorly.

You do realize that Miami would have beaten you too, right? Miami was overrated, but terrible? Bama is going in dry on everyone they play this year. It won't even be close

Who else even looked that great?

The front runners are Coral and Young and it’s not even close.

What else are they going to talk about? Media analysis is pretty basic stuff.

They always anoint a winner before the season even starts. This year that was Spencer Rattler but they cooled on him after the Tulane game.

Because it makes for great debate and increases the fan experience.

Football season is here. They will always talk about the heisman every week b/c it's a topic people are highly interested in.

They wouldn't talk about it if people didn't give a fk.

The more that Bama QBs light it up, the less impressive it becomes. They run a system that’s prolific, just like OU did, Texas Tech, etc.

Young is a system QB.

I miss the days where a guy like RG3 could win on a team that didn’t contend for a title. At least last year we had a non-QB win. That was cool.

I don't remember any LSU fans whining about how the Heisman was "meaningless" in 2019.

Curious.

Because they're clowns and idiots and are too lazy to get a real, productive job.

1. It is because they're using sensationalism... all forms of media do the same thing. Facts don't matter. How can the MSM keep their followers on their side of the spectrum and pissed at anyone with a differing point of view.

2. Burreaux's was meaningless? Maybe. Smitty's was not.
