I was not confident going into the game but the defense played grown man football tonight. We ran the ball down their throats on that last drive and it was good to see after an overall bad performance.

Clemsons defense is legit and we really are screwed at receiver. I’ll take an ugly win any way I can get it against Clemson in the opener.

our defense is nasty; but our offense looked a little stale; hopefully we get some guys back and step up by the end of the year

Other than the interception, Georgia executed their game plan almost perfectly with the personnel they had. JT was 22-30, and we were able to move the ball effectively on the ground. There was no need for us to do anything more aggressive offensively with how the defense was playing. The morons over on the rant don’t understand this, they see “10”. This was the best coached game of Kirby’s career, IMO.

Yeah. No one was open on that play. Clemson dropped into coverage and we were covered everywhere but the checkdown. It was like that a lot.

I’m impressed the offense was able to function that well against one of the best defenses in the country, that was returning every starter, while our offensive receiving Corp was missing four 5-stars (Pickens, Gilbert, Blaylock & Washington), one of the best returning contributors (Jackson) and we lost an almost 5-star lineman (Ratledge) on the 6th play of the game.
