I was ready to fire Briles and bench KJ at the half. Feeling better now.

When Rice threw the TD I pretty much gave up, but that's when the team got their shite together. That's a good sign.
Not sold on KJ yet, but he has very little experience and the offense has to find their identity.
I'm going to need more Rocket going forward. Need to find a couple dump passes to him as well. Might give KJ a bit more confidence too.

KJ was way too amped today. Every pass was a missile. If he can get settled and take a more measured approach to the short passing game he'll be alright. His legs are a serious weapon. We saw what he can be against Missouri. I'm optimistic he'll improve with time.
Rocket is gonna be a stud.
Defense is legit.
Our kicker might actually not be arse.
O-line didn't have a great day in pass pro. Pittman can't be happy about it.

This game reminded me of us vs UGA last year. Bad QB play kept them in the game but our superior depth wore them down. They were dropping like flies in the 2nd half.
I expect a much better game plan next week. There were no designed runs for KJ this week. Very little TE usage.
Having said that KJ has to be better. The WR have to stop dropping catchable balls as well.

Watched a good bit of it on the other TV. They looked pretty good. ULL is a good team but they aren't THAT good. Didn't play their best game either.
If we come out slow like today we will get beat for sure. Only thing I'm really worried about is our line play and play calling. Briles shite the bed in the first half. Can't have that against good teams.

I’m worried about kj air mailing 7 yard slants and 8 yard out routes. If we can’t hit simple things defenses will kill us

I did. And they're getting typical Texas hype. Ull isn't s top 25 team no matter how bad the media wants it...they don't have the horses to run with real top 25.

This is my biggest concern. Those over throws and high on slants are now on film. there are SEC safeties salivating on the picks they'll score with errant throws.
KJ is making some young QB mistakes. he'll get better with experience and settle in hopefully.
