No meaningful changes ….. only hope that they will work together . Acc is locked into a deal for like 12 years ….. with espn. What were they thinking ?

Yes....they will vote against anything that the SEC might be for even if he's in their best interest.

Hopefully the SEC AD's will revise any games they have scheduled with Big 10 and Pac12. With the addition of UT and OU you don't really need those games.

Let's be clear, they will be voting for what is best for the top tier teams of those leagues, not Duke and Washington State.
Just wait until they use that leverage to try and limit SEC teams in any expanded playoff --- that is not for the benefit of fricking Oregon State or Rutgers.

Oh yeah, I agree it is a terrible idea. I just think for all practical purposes it is little more than a voting block.

That’s dumb. Alabama has games scheduled against Ohio State, Arizona, and Wisconsin. Not to mention series against Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Virginia Tech.

Sour grapes. All three of those conferences are simply jealous that the SEC was able to add Texas and Oklahoma without having to take all their baggage with them (the Longhorn Network, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, etc.). To be clear, any of those three conferences would have done the exact same thing the SEC just did if they had been able to pull it off (and in fact, the PAC tried it in 2010).

Itll suck and wont move the needle. Though I do think an B1G-PAC12-ACC challenge on 1 weekend every year would be cool

Yea this has much more to do with ESPN/SEC dictating playoff expansion/network deals than it does scheduling games, but the latter could change I suppose.

Of course. I’ve already stated as much. But boycotting playing them is stupid. College football is better when it’s played in all sectors of the country.

To wait until the ESPN contract expires regarding the playoff scenario makes sense to me. Get more networks in the bid process, if that is possible. I don't understand CBS and NBC not getting involved with college football. I know, I know NBC and Notre Dame but Notre Dame is not the draw they were years ago plus they only broadcast Notre Dame home games which is six or seven a year. It sounded like CBS just walked away from the SEC after the end of their contract without a fight.
The Alliance will definitely try to limit the number of teams from one conference. I fully expect that to happen.

Of course, it is. But I just watched all these voices of reason cancel games needlessly last season and gave themselves no wiggly room to even get their schedule in. I'm not sure these scholars deserve the benefit of the doubt.
The only thing I have gleaned about this move is that they are running scared of the SEC. People who panic do weird stuff.
