I'm not reading a preachy article about why a coach should force a player to make a health decision. The truth is that the other coaches care more about the player missing the game then they do about their health.

Yup. He's AL.com's version of Skip Bayless. Going for the outlandish headlines just to get clicks.

If it's a Goodman story, it's going to be 100% wrong on any subject of importance every single time.
He's the worst writer in the history of al.com and that's quite an accomplishment given their history of hacks.

Liberal al.com blasts coach for not getting and promoting a non-FDA approved vaccine.
Color me shocked.
His lackluster recruiting should be why he is criticized.

If auburn players, who are vaccinated at 60%, start testing positive and have to forfeit games, I can't imagine very many barner fans forgiving this guy.

Harsin is a terrible leader of men and Auburn should be embarrassed. And yes Goodman is a clown but it doesn’t make Harsin any less embarrassing.

Of course I’m commenting because it’s auburn, but it’s funny for any journalist, especially one who writes for AL.com, to call anyone a failure.
I would assume he makes around 40k a year and writes sensational bullshite that gets attention once a year.
The rest of the year is spent smelling his own arse.

Well even if he got vaccinated he still could get covid, so why does it matter. I respect his decision to let the players make up their own mind. I hate auburn with a passion, but these dumbasses putting him down are going to make me pull for him .

Not giving that frick goodman clicks.

If anything I respect a coach for not pressuring healthy young adults who are not at risk anyway to get experimental shots that aren’t even approved.

Definitely. The same people advocating for the player's "right not to get vaccinated" will be the same ones who say, "why didn't they just get the shot?" if it costs their team a game or two.

It's why I've starting paying close attention to who writes the article. If I see his name under the article I avoid it like the plague.

But the writer is correct. Regardless whether one does or does not support the vaccinations for covid, the head coach of a team should support it. Like it or not, a significant number of unvaccinated players can very well impact his team's success during the season, which is just around the corner.
edit: and yes, I am fully aware one can be vaccinated and contract covid but it's much less likely

Nope. Some things are much more important than a game.
