Would take a constitutional amendment in TN to have income taxes here. Rs have greater than a 2:1 advantage in house and senate. Sorry Nashville carpet baggers

Which SEC Program catches a eugenics accusation first?

Facility arms race? So early 2000's

The mid-century is dedicated to the breeding race.

That's the thing people don't seem to get about state governments. The makeup of most states legislatures ensures that one city can't control the entire state. Atlanta and the rest of Georgia have dealt with that for 30 years now. Georgia voted for Biden and has 2 blue senators - Republicans hold the House 101-77, the Senate 34-22 and the governor's mansion.

I honestly think it has been a good thing here, for the most part. A lot of the state government's best accomplishments the last 30 years have been due to outside the box thinking by collections of people across the political and regional spectrum because they basically have to. And while not always pretty or smooth, they generally find ways to fix things that have to be fixed.

And 33% of that were Yankees and illegals moving in.

Figured Arkansas would be higher due to NWA and Louisiana would have shrunk.

I don’t claim to be a genius but, those states towards the bottom aren’t liberal states.

No way a person left Mississippi because of liberals lol

Maybe but I’ll tell you a lot of the interior of Mississippi tends to be medium to large holdings for homesteads or ag business…so there might not be a lot on the market.

There’s more for sale than you think but many rural MS towns don’t list nicer houses publicly.

You gotta know a local and be of a certain demographic. They try to keep certain neighborhoods a certain way if you catch my drift

People probably are moving to Ms. we are just dying of heart disease and diabetes at a faster rate

Have you ever eaten at restaurants here?

I go out of state to a restaurant and get pissed at the small portions for a higher price when I get a 24oz ribeye baked potato and salad with a cup of gumbo here for 30 bucks at a restaurant downtown while I can’t find a restaurant out of state with a steak bigger than 12 oz for the same price.

Well yes. It has the unusual distinction of having 29 counties included in its MSA, the most of any MSA. Which has more to do with politicians wanting more power than a feather in GA's cap.
You cover enough area you can make the population look like any number. Many of those small towns in Atlanta MSA have very dissimilar characteristics to Atlanta.

Almost 60% of Georgia's population live in the red area. The rest of Georgia has about a million less than Alabama.

Unfortunately the Atlanta metro has a population by nearly a million over the rest of the state of Georgia. Which is why Georgia is now a blue state. Get out while you can Georgia is doomed.
