Talk about a do nothing conference. You’d think USC and Oregon would hate it because SOS would be affected negatively.

USC, UCLA and Oregon are so overrated that a B12 team wins that conference every year going forward if they do This

Yeah frick it just put us in the AAC

Oklahoma St. and TCU are the winners here.

nothing will come of this
Best available option would be
Tech
TCU
OSU
KU
To take the Pac to 16 and let the old Pac8 have their own division but that wont happen either.
Big 12 is stuck adding from AAC / MWC

The important ones in the PAC should flee to the Big10.
Then important ones left in the Big12 go to ACC.
Until contracts are up and make one giant league out of actual draw fan bases.

Can't wait to see the University of Southern California play a Pacific 20 Conference game in Morgantown, WV.

USC in 2019 averaged about 62K per home game (63k for UCLA).
Football on the left coast is about done.

You mean what is left after KU and Iowa State go to BIG 10.
So the PAC-18?
PAC-17 If ACC take WVU.

Exactly, most people have missed that the landscape has changed when it comes to value. TV market size is less important than actual viewers.
For 2020 if you combine big 12 and pac 12 sans OU/TX, the big 12 would have 11 of top 20 most viewed games. Iowa State vs Kansas state would have been the most watched game...Arkansas State vs Kansas state would have been 11. Granted i only used one data source but this says the pac 12 is in trouble next round of negotiations and should make the B1G leery of merging.

That’s a lot of travel costs. Will be interesting to see how this would impact the pending lawsuits from Bowlsby regarding ESPN meddling, and whether the GOR is still valid thru 2025. Not to mention exit fees owed for OU/tu leaving prior to 2025 (if they so choose).

That is actually decent for how terrible those teams are.

This would do nothing to add to the value for the future tb revenue. ESPN & Fox basically already told the Big 12 that they wouldn't get nowhere near the money that the SEC or B1G would get, and that was with OU & TU. That is why OU & TU bolted. The TV networks sure aren't going to increase the per school payout to the PAC-12 if they add more schools that they've already deemed as not very valuable. If this happens, then you might as well consider that merged conference at the AAC level because their revenue won't be anywhere close to the SEC or B1G.
