Let’s leave current records and current ranking aside. This is going to be very fun for all the schools, alumni, fans and states involved. I don’t want to see the negativity. This is awesome especially for us SEC fans located west of the Mississippi river. We all mingle. We all have passion. We all love our states and love our teams.
Don’t let any SEC fans try to tell you that you don’t fit in because that’s total bullshite. OU and Texas are a perfect fit. Let’s do this! For us Houston & DFW area Tigers, adding Austin and Norman as another destination to see our team is HUGE! Not only in football but baseball, basketball, softball and gymnastics. Welcome to the SEC!!

Get ready. The entire conference is going to be throwing horns down every chance they get. Y’all are the new villains.
Keep that more of that “glad to be here” mindset and lose some of the “Texas is back” arrogance and people will respect y’all more. Just saying.

I’ve been wanting this to happen for over a decade but we’re finally here. It’s going to be a lot of fun! Looking forward to visiting as many campuses in the SEC as I can get to. When y’all come to Norman for a game let me know and I’ll buy you a beer! Boomer!

Pro tip for visiting BR. Don’t let the horror stories get in your head. If you walk around tailgates on campus and tell people this is your first time visiting and ask them what is a must see on game day, people will invite you in for that good Louisiana cuisine and drinks. LSU fans have a reputation for being like this. Especially our older fans.
I hope your fans are ready to see a much larger visiting fan base than what you’re used to. Sec fans in general travel very well. Especially LSU, Georgia, Ole Miss and Tennessee. I’d expect to see a lot of purple and gold in Norman. On that same note, I wonder how Texas fans are going to handle that same thing. Their largest visiting fan base is usually OSU. They’re not going to be happy to give up space to visiting fans.

Thank you for the tips on when I visit! I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve only driven by the stadium a couple times but can’t wait to see a game there. I’m huge college football fan and it’s always been on the bucket list.

I have a lot of friends and family who are OU fans. I’ve been telling them for years that they need to experience Tiger stadium at night. It’s truly a great sporting atmosphere. Forget records and rankings. There is so much tradition and pageantry that goes into it. The same can be said of OU and Texas which furthers my point to why this is a match made in heaven.

Horns Down doesn’t bother me at all.. I actually like it as it adds more hate & drama to the game.

I can vouch for LSU tailgaters. They are solid. The non-tailgater group is much more hit or miss.
When I was in school in the mid/late 80's, I loved LSU week. The RVs would show up around Wednesday and we would walk by, accept some smack talk, give some smack talk and then welcome them to Auburn. Every other year my poor college student arse would have free beer, gumbo and crayfish.
