Pro tip for visiting BR. Don’t let the horror stories get in your head. If you walk around tailgates on campus and tell people this is your first time visiting and ask them what is a must see on game day, people will invite you in for that good Louisiana cuisine and drinks. LSU fans have a reputation for being like this. Especially our older fans.

I hope your fans are ready to see a much larger visiting fan base than what you’re used to. Sec fans in general travel very well. Especially LSU, Georgia, Ole Miss and Tennessee. I’d expect to see a lot of purple and gold in Norman. On that same note, I wonder how Texas fans are going to handle that same thing. Their largest visiting fan base is usually OSU. They’re not going to be happy to give up space to visiting fans.

I think this can be said about most SEC schools. If you get there early and see people tailgating, most people are going to be pretty welcoming as a whole. If you go into it with a friendly rivalry mindset, nearly everyone in the conference will welcome you and will likely invite you to sonics after the game. That being said... if you walk into our stadiums and act like a pretentious douche bag, you're going to get shite on and people will probably look to square up. We take our sports very seriously in the conference. It doesn't matter if it's football, basketball, baseball, hell even cheerleading fans can be pretty cut throat. Come in, be humble, enjoy the atmosphere and we'll gladly welcome you to our cookouts and happily have you on our schedule. Basically, don't be a Texas fan. Divas suck and y'all about to get fricked dry

Dude you’re a Kentucky fan. You have no input here. Go to a basketball forum.

I’ve had the pleasure of being on the LSU campus when my aunt and uncle lived in Prairieville, LA and it’s an absolutely beautiful campus, especially with the Spanish moss. I can say we are pumped to be in this conference and I am looking forward to hopefully seeing some of you at the tailgates in Norman. The competition is going to be great, the atmosphere is going to be great and we’ve been waiting for this for a long time. Hopefully we can deal with big baby Bowlsby and get out of the little 12 by next year. Looking forward to the banter, y’all. Let’s do this!

Are you really defending Texas football? Name a single team outside of Tennessee that has underperformed with so many highly rated recruits within the past 10 years

It doesn’t matter. I’m over here promoting unity and you come in this thread talking that shite. If you were a big6 fan you’d have room to talk but you’re not. Don’t come in here and trash the new guys to make yourself feel more relevant.

I am anticipating the two schools to be officially sworn into the SEC by next July. They pay the buy out with help of the SEC or the Big12 dies off/merges with another conference.

Let’s see a 2022 season opener with the Sooners coming to Baton Rouge.
