I remember a couple of years ago when re-alignment was being discussed everyone said Ok State was attached to Oklahoma no matter what. They would never, ever leave each other and that is what was stopping OU from making moves.

I guess that's completely over now that the SEC is involved

SEC takes what it wants!

In all seriousness, Mickey is driving this show. If Disney didn't approach the SEC with Okie State, then Okie State needs to be mad at Disney.

I wonder where they will end up. It's a good program with a rabid fan base.

I have serious doubts that the Pac-12 will come calling. As a fan, I cant imagine being permanently relegated from Power-5 to the American. Especially considering that they have built themselves into a top-25 program.

It would better serve everyone's interests if Mizzou left for the Big 10 and OK St. joined with OU.

And WVU. They and the Big 12 scrambled into a marriage together and now WVU is left out in the wilderness again.

I don't think they'd ever take them because they want to keep the idea that they're an academic conference but I think they'd fit well enough in the ACC. Could bring back their old rivalries with the VA schools.

Well I imagine T Boone Pickens had a lot to do with that. He's dead now.

A bunch of them will get stuck with nowhere to go. They will be forgotten like tulane and smu in a decade or so. I wonder how much tcu and baylor still owe on their new stadiums. They must be losing it right now. Dang.

Oklahoma State folks are far and away the best fans in that state.
Genuinely hospitable people.
I hope they land on their feet.

That's over now that Boren is no longer University President. Has nothing to do with the SEC.

Even though iowa state is having a good 2 years Oklahoma State is easily the best football and overall sports program left in the big12.

Hopefully the ACC picks them up. If they try to add a bunch Houston's, Cincinnati's and Louisville's to carry the conference it's just going be sad.

K State is also a good program but does not move the needle much overall. Iowa State in the same boat. Smaller population states with two big schools with one being the dominant one OU, KU and IU. Sucks for these programs and their fans
