Title says it all, we all know Texas likes to try and throw their weight around.

How long do you think they take to demand the cowbells?

You know they are going to play one game in Davis Wade and then throw a fit.

Pretty sure our rooster crowing on the loud speaker got banned.. IIRC. How are the cowbells still allowed?

Considering that if they made the demand, they'd be the 14th member institution to do so, and considering that they're going to be down there with Mizzou in conference pecking order, it's not going to matter regardless.

Some Texas fans ring cowbells at their stadium, so the extra dash of hypocrisy would be nice.

At the end of the day nobody should be worried about Texas. This conference needs more doormats.

Bro, that will just cause State to ring those stupid things louder. I would not worry about it. Some redneck will show up to the game with a "bell" the size of the liberty bell. They are about to enter the SEC where the level of don't give a $hit about your feelings at a football game by the fan base is high.

I’m dating a state fan. I have to leave the room anytime I’m watching a State sporting event with her family because anytime something decent happens for state, the cowbells come right out. Doesn’t matter if we’re watching on a couch in the living room lmao

I don’t think this thread is going to turn out like you thought it would.

No one except State fans like the cowbells.

If Texas did this, it would be a bonus to letting them into the SEC.

What weight will Texas have in the SEC? What can they really do? Leave for the PAC12/14? So be it. The SEC is doing them a favor by even talking to them. Texas sees this as a merger when in reality it’s an acquisition of a distressed property.

This mini-melt does a pretty decent job of actually advocating for the cowbells, DSJ. We know everyone else hates them - that's the point. Do you really believe that the rest of the SEC smiles and fawns when you guys yell Hotty Toddy? Of course they don't - they mostly cringe at that borderline-gay shite. But the more it annoys everyone else, the more you guys do it.

It just means more.

Demand is a funny word. Texas gets what it wants, and if it wants your cowbells banned, they’ll be banned.
