What Jimbo Fisher did was brilliant at SEC media days, he trolled Texas about as good as one can. Everyone knows the animosity between A&M & Texas, so there is real hate. But Fisher with the comments below;
“And if you think horns down is offensive, just wait to you go to Death Valley”
Just brought in reinforcements to give Texas shite like they do. Those comments were brilliant, because he knows that LSU fans feel slighted for what Texas did to LSU fans, the team and the band. So he just decided to bring the smoldering fire up to a raging inferno by basically daring LSU fans to give the horns down sign! Just brilliant!

A&M and LSU have a good thing going now.
If Texas thinks theyre going to run shite here theyll quickly learn that A&M has a much better end of year game now. A&M is way ahead of TU now.

You think that the rest of the SEC is primed to do the same?
If it bothers UTexas so much, I would imagine HUGE horns down cutouts throughout the stadiums at every venue
OU and UTexas have not played in stadiums like the SEC on a consistent basis They are in for a shock as week after week they go into the pits with 90+ people screaming for their blood. Nothing in the Big 12 can prepare them for it.

What Jimbo said is absolutely correct.
Texas will regret acting like a child and letting other fanbases know that they get emotional if someone gives them a horns down sign.
Hell even Vanderbilt will be waiting to troll the Longhorns.
And its all their fault.

Thanks for calling Texas TU.
Tennessee fans like being the only UT.

That’s a very good point. SEC has large capacity stadiums plus with the noise levels which makes those stadiums seem even bigger, that will be a culture shock for Oklahoma and Texas. I’m ready no matter what. Time for OU to man up and get accustomed to real football!

Liking yer style so far homey on the potential move. Wouldn’t get yer hopes up tho, this moving bit has been talked about before.

The other factor is playing at night instead of at 11AM.
Playing the red river shootout at 7pm would have a completely different atmosphere than playing it at 11am trying to drink your coffee.

There’s no way the RRS will ever get played at night, especially because of the location. It needs to be 2:30 always, if that can happen. 11am games are just stupid. 11am games are for Pam Ward B1G matchups.

Texas is going to have to eat a shite ton of crow, especially right after getting the horns down penalty more strictly enforced at the media days of the conference they're leaving.
Wouldn't surprise me if that penalty isn't called at all by Big 12 officials now

The order for the horns down labeled piss balloons has already been placed.

All joking aside,
I am legitimately concerned how atmospheres bounce back post COVID
They were unmistakably on the decline the last few years generally and with all the politics and people in general moving on from sports already when their pattern was disrupted last year with the politics on top of it, I’m worried things aren’t going to bounce back.
You could already feel tiger stadiums atmosphere in general slipping from 2012-2019 as they started pumping in more music, stopped bringing Mike in, etc…
We’ll see this fall.

Jimbo is hands down the most interesting to watch at media days now. He will literally sit there and ramble. It’s good stuff. I love it. Looking forward to many years to come with Jimbo and O facing off.

The RRS will be played at whichever time you are told to play it. That's how it works in the SEC. The pot of gold you guys are chasing comes with complete submission to the SEC as well as the regular season arse rapings you guys will eventually get used to.

It’s funny bc just saw a thing on this for the RRS. They do it bc they say it keeps the fans from getting to drunk, that’s why it will never be a night game, and they don’t like putting it at 2, I’m assuming bc it’s by the fair, they want that family environment type vibe
The again the people who enforce that would be gone, the SEC wouldn’t care how drunk you guys get in public

In the SEC that's considered a positive on the pros/ cons checklist.

I went to a few OU/Texas 2:30 games in the 2000s. Both sides liked it because everyone had fun for a few hours at the fair before the game. It’s nice to take in all the sights and sounds at the fair. A lot of stuff isn’t opened yet by 11am kickoffs.

Until I-30 gets buried for a deck park and Fair Park gets some of the revitalization that’s going on in Deep Ellum, the Red River Shootout will not be at night.

Yup. You want it at 230? Be good that season.

If you leave Fair Park at 11:00 PM, you'd best already have your pistol at low ready and a few spare mags. You'll have to blast your way back to the car.
