We might not have the votes to block the move outright, but if this alignment is true then they have thrown us a real bone to placate us:

We get LSU in the pod instead of being stuck in another Big 12 South. We get to build on what we started in the SEC and get the new big payout.

Interesting. Still think They’re just looking for leverage with the Big 12 though. Vanderbilt would get the biggest shaft in my opinion if it were true.

It’s comforting to be accommodated despite not getting what we want. It shows what a professional league the SEC is and that Texas won’t run the show. Frankly I don’t think they get what they are signing up for.

Pretty boring pod tbh

Should be LSU, the 2 landmass schools and either bama or Auburn

I posted something similar yesterday, but this set up actually is actually presented well.

By playing 2 teams from each of the other 3 PODS, along with your Geographical 3 POD games, it gives the fans who like to travel geographical diversity within the league with respect to road games, etc.

The SEC title game would be be top 2 records, if there is a 3 way tie, then use some tie breaker format with head to head, then winning % of teams you beat, etc to get the top 2 for Atlanta.

Vandy gets the raw deal no matter who they play because they don’t get to play Vandy

Exactly, y’all got kinda fricked because we got what we wanted after pitching a hissyfit.

Being Bama’s butt buddy finally paid off.

Someone posted that gif on here after they stole it from Surley. I don’t know the source.

I’m like 90% sure they stole that pod from here, that looks like one we passed around earlier a few times, meaning we guessed right

If the SEC brings in Oklahoma and Texas, we might as well play them

Hold up, so by avoiding UT and OU that equates to building? That simply means they'll cram your out of Pod games in vs UT or OU anyway. For eyeballs.

You think you can run and hide, but you can't.

I am fine with this. Every team should have one rival in each pod. It is time we let go of the 2nd and 3rd rivalries.

But this isn't really anything official, right? Just a morning show putting out a potential scenario.

In other words, no different than us here speculating?

And Alabama gets the lucky draw as usual.

IDGAF about playing OU every year. We have less history with them than Arkansas or LSU. If what was posted above happens Texas will/should be some sort of permanent opponent

Maybe but Texas isn’t getting our rivalry game back during rivalry weekend for example. Looks like LSU gets stuck in that slot forever.

That is the sort of thing I am talking about. It isn’t about running from OU/Texas, it’s about having an identity that isn’t in relation to them.
