Florida, UofSC, UGA, Auburn
Vandy, Vols, UK, Mizzou
Arky, OU, Tamu, Horns
Ole Miss, State, LSU, Bama
I like it. Top 2 are the east, the bottom are west. Give the regional names 1) Fall-line 2) Appalachian 3) Plains 4) Gulf
Fall line vs Appalachian winner reps the east while Plains vs Gulf rep the west for an SEC championship and automatic playoff spot.

Indeed it is. The Pod of Greatness.

I see what you are getting at here, but no way in hell will Auburn and Alabama be in separate pods.

I would rather see it like this:
Texas, OU, Mizzou, Arkansas
aTm, LSU, Ole Miss, MSU
UA, AU, UT, Vandy
UF, UGA, USC, UK
Play everyone in your pod plus two other pods each season. Giving everyone 11 games. One pod would rotate out leaving one pod for a second year allowing a home and away series for teams when they rotate in for two years. The two teams with the best record or ranking(depending on the system) would play a 12th game in the SEC CG that would also count as the qtr final for the playoffs. But we would need to move to a P4 and have 4 16 team conferences.

Could just as easily be Arkansas Mizzou Ole Miss OU

They could keep a permanent cross pod rival.

I would've thought Vols would want to remain with UF and UGA.

Kentucky doesn’t really fit. TAMU and TU in a pod makes sense.
From a balance perspective yours make sense. Mine is more regionally grouped to allow for fan appeal and easier marketing

They are in the eastern division, just a different pod.

Breaking Ole Miss/State up? Never. Arky and OU have a regional tie. But mizzou? Not really.

A plays A, B, C then A, B, D
B plays B, A, D then B, A, C
C plays C, D, A then C, D, B
D plays D, C, B then D, C, A
West
A - Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri
B - LSU, A&M, Ole Miss, Miss State
East
C - Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Vanderbilt
D - Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky
Texas Schedule
Oklahoma
Arkansas

Vanderbilt or South Carolina
Tennessee or Kentucky
Ok I’m 100% on board which probably means it isn’t happening..

Pods have zero to do with cross-pod rivalry permanence. There are still 4-6 teams to schedule.

I was closer to yours except for AU with Bama, UT, and Vandy.
I can see at that point AU wanting to go with Florida, UGA and USC and Bama,TENN, UK and Vandy.
But I kind of see it close to way you see it and I think AU would have to clearly say which game is more important, UGA or Bama. They have been wanting to go the East for years so that hints to me they would want to go there with UGA and get to play Florida every year so they go down there for recruiting.

Play your POD and you play 6 teams from the other 2 pods and rotate biannually, if you want to have a 9 game league Schedule.

The SEC has some outstanding rivalries that will need to be taken into consideration. If they can’t share a pod then they can share a division to keep those going.
In my set up you have 2 pods making a division of 8 teams. So 7 division games, 2 cross division games (preferably home and home with alternating pods in the other division) plus 3 OOC games for 12 games.

I like this except swap Arky and A&M

No I think A&M would rather be with LSU and play traditional league games. there entire reason for leaving the Big 12 was to establish their brand independent of Texas.
Texas has a natural history with OU, Arkansas (SWC days) and MIZZOU since Big 12.
Personally under no scenario would I want LSU to be in POD with 3 teams that are not historically SEC teams.

I think Arkansas would prefer to be in a Texas pod over a LSU pod, and A&M would prefer to be in an LSU pod over a Texas pod.
But maybe I am wrong.
