That Ben and Jerry's Houston Nutt "Going Nutts" ice cream they do around October always hits the spot. It's a vanilla ice cream with almonds, pecans, peanuts and caramel along with Twix blocks and swirled fudge.

Jambalaya is a staple at many tailgates. Gumbo is good if the weather is cold.

When LSU comes to Tuscaloosa we'll cook while we tailgate.
By the end of the day, our tent usually gets split between Alabama and LSU fans.
Those end up being some of my favorite gamedays.
