This is going to get so messy and corrupt:

quote:

South Florida businessman Dan Lambert is offering 90 Miami football players a $500 a month contract to endorse American Top Team, his chain of MMA training gyms scattered throughout the region.

quote:

Going beyond this deal, Lambert founded Bring Back The U, an organization designed with the aim of arranging NIL deals for Hurricanes players.

Good thing a certain coach has several car dealerships.

Saban has been planning for this for years. Always ahead of the game.

So he’s giving out inducements to be the players’ agent? Interesting.

You have your head in the sand if you can't see where this is going.

Players getting paid publicly instead of privately?

Not where it's going, this is where it is now. Players going to the highest bidder.

4 and 5 Stars will go for a lot more than this.

It's going to be a shitshow. Basically paying every single player now. No different than any other sports league. Whichever university is willing to pay the most will get the best players. Amateurism is dead, as is college athletics as we know it. Why even bother with school? Just another sports league. College football should just be another league competing with the NFL

Welcome to pro football folks.

I should have said Pro Sports because this will happen across the board.

This will be the case at a lot of colleges.

It will be interesting to see how The REC will navigate the NIL.

We'll see.

The protections of amateur sports don’t go all one way. Keeping slimy agents off of the amateurs was a benefit to the amateurs whether they knew it or not. I’d expect some early examples what not to do for some unfortunate and naive athletes.

It doesn’t matter, the main goal is to get to the pros. The money they will get in college won’t compare. They still have to perform on the field to get where they wanna be.

Quit acting like this shite wasn’t already happening anyways. Now it’s just public

This is a drop in the bucket to what is going to happen.

Literally you will have several businesses come together and add to this. It could end up at 10K per month.

ALL players get paid.

Then you get personal deals with other vendors.

Then add signing bonuses for those highly recruited kids

Watch all the threads like this one (I've already got a couple out there from 4-5 days back), and you'll be able to identify those among us who are short-sighted, simple-minded, or both.
This situation parallels the defund the police narrative in basic stupidity...and some folks can't/won't realize it.

Small beans in comparison to what we are going to see

This is simply putting their toes in the water.

Wait a year or two when boosters/handlers are doing cannonballs into the pool.
