In a sick twist, South Carolina will be hosting the Super Regional this weekend.

All the host sites were chosen in advance this year b/c Covid. So, it would have been either TCU or SC in this regional pairing. Both teams were eliminated, so...yeah.
I expect Dallas Baptist to bring like 20 fans to go along with the 35 that UVA and/or Old Dominion will bring. It will be the saddest Super Regional event of all time.

Why wouldn't they just host it at TCU? That way fans could actually show up.

Not unprecedented. State (Dudy Noble Field) hosted a Regional in 1973 and we were not in the field. So it has happened before.
