Claims to have shut down his recruiting and will be making a decision.
Just OVed to Florida. Had an unofficial to Bama in the Spring. Michigan has been after him hard.
Would easily be the biggest get since Mullen took over the program.

Unfortunately, I agree. None of Mullen's class have shown urgency or an ability to close on Target #1 with any consistency.
I want to be proven wrong, but I expect to hear "Oh he had decided on Bama 6 months ago and this was a courtesy visit" or whatever.

One would think it’s either Florida or Alabama at this point
Someone on Twitter claimed he just visited UMich on Tuesday, apparently has family up there.
I don't believe any of the bullshite in recruiting, you're either coming or not.
I will say, shutting it down off an official but not immediately announcing screams troll to me, and Mullen has fallen for it several times the last few years.

According to a Bama recruiting insider, it isn't AL.

Link??
It's a pay site that frowns on inside info being posted elsewhere, but this person is likely the most respected recruiting guy when it comes to Bama.

Let 'em frown. If you got something to say, just say it.

They frown by kicking you off the site, but he's on a popular site as the senior recruiting analyst.

Same username on two sites? Rookie mistake.

Rumors are he may have made a stop in Knoxville on the way back from Florida, but TN would still have a long way to go to get back in the picture for him. No optimism at all, on my part, for him coming here.
Don't think he's coming our way, but the "unannounced" visit might raise some eyebrows.

I know he said it but I’d be shocked if he actually shuts it down. A lot of kids seem to be on the “visit high” and maybe more so with things just now getting started back up.

Prior to visits opening back up in June, it was thought to be a UGA-Bama battle.
Highly doubt anyone actually shuts down their recruitment this early in June with the option to visit campuses back open for the first time in a year and a half. They may not OV but everyone (even Georgia commits) are going to at least make those patented “secret visits” just to actually see what’s out there

Nolen has an interview with Michigan 247 conducted after his interview with Florida 247. In that conversation, he says he will still be going on visits and will be in Athens on June 10.
His father is also in the interview and said that people are making a lot out of a tweet.

“He said he’s getting tired of it,” the elder Walter Nolen said of the recruiting process, adding his son fields a lot of phone calls from coaches. In fact, shortly after Nolen's tweet, Texas A&M “reoffered.”
Why did A&M have to "reoffer"

This is going to sound super salty, because that's probably all it is, but I swear this shite happens to Florida more than any other school. We get a ton of top 100 kids on campus every year, a bunch of them are throwing shite around "It was a 10/10", "Florida is my leader", etc. Then it *always* gets walked back immediately, even for the kids we land, it always gets walked back, their recruitment drags on for 2 or 4 or 6 more months.
We've had years where we can't buy even a visit from a 5 star. THAT I understand. That makes sense.
Under Meyer, top 250 kids were begging to commit for months, worried they'd miss a spot. THAT I understand. That makes sense.
It feels like the game is just fundamentally different for some schools now. Does Bama or UGA experience this? It certainly doesn't seem like it. Guys play them or troll them (UGA anyway) or play it close to the vest. But I never see some dude on the board, Top 100, go to UGA for a weekend, get all hyped, glow about them in the interviews, then (1) not actually commit and (2) Dad or Cousin or "Family Friend" comes out on Tuesday to talk about how shite is taken out of context.
Rant over, I know it's just me being jealous.
