Najee is a wonderful representative of your University. Even this old AU fan is rooting for him to succeed in the pros. I've always liked what this young man has to say when he is interviewed, and he certainly has the skills to be one of the top RBs in the NFL.

I like Najee's potential, but Pitt will hold him back.

I agree. He will be better than waddle and smith.

Great talent, but I hate the landing spot for him. Pittsburgh's OL is terrible and defenses easily shut down their offense last year once they realized Roethlisberger couldn't throw deep anymore.

Hard to imagine how a QB as good as Ben was just lost his way
He's taken a lot of punishment over the years and it looks like he's lost some arm strength coming off the 2019 elbow surgery.

Rooting for this guy. And I hate the Steelers

as a Browns fan i hope Najee is more like Trent Richardson and less like Derrick Henry .( if he were in the NFC i would root for him though ).

I am less high on him because of what an old QB says and more high on him because he is 6’1” 235lbs and runs a 4.45 40, was the 2017 #1 RB and overall player in the country 5 star and has sense had the top coaching and facility development of anyone in the county.

Ditto. He's a quicker, compact, more agile, just all-around better running back than Derrick Henry.
A big difference between him and Henry is that Najee's ability to catch the ball makes him an every down back. Don't be surprised when he has more receiving yards than Henry this year.

I question Najee's maturity adversity comes. We will see how it goes.

Could see him being an all time great if he stays injury free
I'm old enough to remember when not only was the Heisman a running back, but often as not, the 1st pick of the draft was, too. Derrick Henry would have been a franchise pick, as would Leonard Fournette. Fournette could have peed on the sidelines, on camera, and still never been benched or traded.
Najee Harris would have been maybe #1 overall this year, and you'd be looking to build up the defense so the playoffs were in sight in a year or 2.
But nowadays, that position just doesn't matter. Kamara is considered elite because he can also line up wide and make plays like a WR, not because he's a 1500 yd back. He hasn't cracked 1k rushing once in 4 seasons.

Going to be honest. I've never liked any of the Bama RBs. But I'm actively rooting for Najee. He is a class act with a solid head on his shoulders, and I'm excited to watch him this year.
Derrick Henry has really grown on me. He's a cool, quiet guy who's a monster on the field.

I wanted Henry in Dallas, sigh. He's exactly what I thought.

Well this Dawg is pulling for him bigly. Saw some of his press conference vids and really liked him. Saw the report of his draft day party at the children's shelter he lived in for a while, then putting a $5K suit on in the dam parking lot (and taking pics with the pizza guy while half dressed)....I can't think of the right words to describe exactly how awesome I thought that was.
Hope he makes $1B and has a hall of fame career. But that cat will make it in life no matter what.

Why on earth would you question that?

You know, growing up in a children's home, winning over a running back room full of Alpha Dawg NFL players, doing the dirty work when needed. He's never faced adversity. He's probably a daisy ready to wilt.
