Weekend Getaway

I want to surprise the wife with a long weekend somewhere soon, but I'm not really sure as to where to go. I was thinking of the following places: Vegas, Myrtle Beach, Destin, or Lake Tahoe. Anyone have any suggestions? BTW I know there is a travel board, but it doesn't get much traffic so have fun wasting your time if you want to type that.

Niagara Falls/Toronto is a nice weekend getaway. Wife and I did it a few years ago, Thursday to Sunday, although i'm not sure how travel to Canada is right now. We flew into Buffalo as there was direct flights through southwest from New Orleans at that time, but i don't think that's the case today.
Toronto is a really nice city. There are wineries the entire way between Niagara and Toronto, called ice wines.
All you need is a day to do Niagara, spend the rest of the time in Toronto.

Are these places your wife wants to go?
I don't see Destin or Myrtle beach as a getaway trip with your spouse.
Vegas, if you plan to go to a show she'd enjoy and have a nice dinner. If you mostly want to gamble and she doesn't care about it, then no to Vegas. If she likes pool time at a nice resort, Vegas could work as well. I'd like the Vegas weekend, but I love Vegas, gambling, and shows.
I think maybe Riviera Maya to a nice AI is a better getaway trip. Everything is there and you can just relax and hang out together. There are Florida places like this, but not Destin. Sanibel Island or Amelia Island come to mind or maybe Savannah/Tybee Island.
Lake Tahoe could be really nice. There are so many things to do and see there around the lake instead of just shows and gambling. It's really beautiful!
